Lee Andrews is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Alamo Biologics. Lee founded Alamo Biologics in 1996 and has more than 20 years in the biologics industry. His compassion to honor the gift of tissue donation, while enhancing the lives of others, remains the mission of Alamo Biologics. Lee is a long-standing member of the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB).
Prior to joining Alamo Biologics, Kevin served as Senior Vice President of the Donor Transplant Group for Eurofins U.S. Clinical Division, President of Eurofins – Donor and Product Testing (formerly VRL) and President of Eurofins – CellTx, President and co-founder of VRL Laboratories. With more than 20-years’ experience leading companies through start-up, turnaround and growth modes, Barfield’s knowledge of the transplant industry encompasses operations, business development, marketing, customer service, logistics, direct sales, and quality and regulatory compliance. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in health sciences and Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing, with post-graduate studies from Cornell University and is a registered medical technologist, receiving his training from the United States Air Force and Midwestern University.
Dr. Bauer is a nationally recognized medical expert in tissue banking, infectious disease consulting, and laboratory testing. A CLIA-certified laboratory director, Dr. Bauer is board certified in Clinical Pathology and Transfusion Medicine and has served in Michigan, New Jersey, and Colorado as a blood bank physician. Dr. Bauer began a private consulting practice in 2000, and now provides consultation services as a physician-of-record. He is a graduate from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1988.
Pamela joined Alamo Biologics in 2016 after relocating from Houston where she obtained a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Houston. Her previous experience includes working in real estate franchising, industrial warehousing, advertising and the public accounting sectors. As a trained ISO facilitator and auditor, she has successfully seen a company through the certification process. Pamela’s passion for the donation process makes her a great fit for working with the many customers and partners Alamo Biologics serves.
Graduated in 2000 from the University of Colorado with a BA in Economics/Sociology. Miles started his career in the medical industry in Emergency Medical Services as a paramedic in the Denver metropolitan area. Since 2004, Miles has provided and led Quality Assurance in blood, tissue, pharmaceuticals, and dietary supplements. Miles has successfully implemented and maintained quality systems that have fostered successful partnerships between his respective organizations and regulatory bodies. Miles has also developed professional relationships in the tissue and organ industry, allowing him to better understand the quality needs and expectations of our clients, partners, and recipients.
Christy has over twenty years of leadership experience in the tissue banking industry in a variety of roles, most recently as the Vice President of Tissue Operations at Precision Allograft Solutions. She has lead processing, quality, regulatory compliance, supplier management, product development, distribution, and inventory management departments, as well as assisted in planning and validation design in both startup, large corporation and international settings. Throughout her career, Ms. Martinelli has successfully led more than 15 regulatory inspections and assisted in the launch of more than 15 products in the spine and orthopedic industry.
Thomas joined Alamo Biologics in 2022 as Vice President of Business Development. In this role, Thomas is responsible for overseeing Strategic Partnerships—including recovery and OPO relations, Sales & Marketing, New Product Development and Contract Manufacturing. He has over 25 years of experience in the biologics and tissue industry which includes product and business development, sales and marketing, tissue operations, donor services, and recovery. During this 25 year span he’s played a key role in helping to develop and commercialize many new products, as well as managing CMO/OEM projects contributing to significant organizational growth. Thomas has a strong commitment to honoring the gift of donation and is focused on Alamos growth and key strategic partnerships.
Thomas has a bachelor’s degree in Business and Organizational Communication from Monmouth University.
As Vice President of Product Development, Jason leads our development process, drives innovation, and ensures an organizational culture of continuous improvement. Prior to joining Alamo Biologics in September 2022, Jason held senior management positions with increasing responsibility at both MTF Biologics and Bioventus. He has over 20 years combined experience in tissue banking, biologics, and medical devices. Jason has a proven track record leading teams to commercialize new products that have significant impacts on organizational growth. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, and Associate of Applied Science in Automated Manufacturing, and Tool Making Technology from the Pennsylvania College of Technology. Jason is passionate about the mission to honor the donated gift and inspired to heal lives by creating innovative human tissue products that improve patient outcomes.
